Terms of Use
Austin’s Snow Removal
Terms of Use and Service Terms
Last Updated: October 2, 2026
These Terms of Use and Service Terms apply to the Austin’s Snow Removal website and to snow removal, snow plowing, salting, de-icing, and related services provided by Austin’s Snow Removal (“Austin’s,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By requesting service, accepting a proposal, making a payment, allowing service to be performed, or using this website, you agree to these terms.
If you have a separate written contract, proposal, or service agreement with Austin’s Snow Removal, that agreement will control if it contains terms that differ from these general terms.
Important Service Disclaimers
The following terms are especially important and apply directly to our snow removal services.
Commercial Snow Removal
1. Contract Required Before the First Snow or Ice Event
Commercial properties must be under contract before the first snow or ice event of the winter season to guarantee timely service.
This includes medical, office, industrial, flex, retail, educational, government, special-purpose, and other commercial properties.
Customers who request service after the winter season has begun may still be accepted, but Austin’s Snow Removal cannot guarantee immediate placement on an existing service route.
2. Net 30 Payment Terms
All commercial snow removal accounts are subject to Net 30 payment terms unless otherwise stated in the customer’s written agreement.
3. Initial Invoice or Deposit
Any required first invoice or deposit must be paid before service begins, or within 30 days of being sent through the agreed billing method, depending on the terms of the customer’s contract.
Failure to make required payments may result in delayed, suspended, or canceled service.
4. Property Staking
Austin’s Snow Removal must be allowed to install snow plow markers and stake driveway edges, parking lot boundaries, curbs, and other service areas as reasonably needed.
This requirement applies to all commercial properties.
Refusal to allow reasonable property marking may affect Austin’s ability to safely provide service.
Residential Snow Removal
1. 24-Hour Service Guarantee
Residential properties will be serviced within 24 hours of the announced residential route start time.
Austin’s Snow Removal will send a text message or email to the contact information on file announcing the route start time.
The 24-hour service period begins at the time stated in that notification.
The guarantee applies to the applicable service route and does not begin simply because snow has started or stopped falling.
2. 2-Inch Snowfall Trigger
Residential snow removal has a strict 2-inch snowfall trigger unless other arrangements have been approved in advance.
Austin’s Snow Removal generally does not begin residential snow removal until snowfall has substantially stopped.
During major storms involving approximately 8 inches or more of snow, or storms lasting multiple days, Austin’s Snow Removal will generally clear contracted residential properties at least once every 24 hours until the storm ends.
During these major storms, the 24-hour service period begins when Austin’s Snow Removal sends the applicable route start notification.
3. Service Under 2 Inches
Snow removal for accumulations under 2 inches must be approved in advance by the customer.
Snowfall totals may be based on cumulative snowfall for the customer’s township, service area, or other reasonable local measurement.
4. Property Staking
Austin’s Snow Removal must be allowed to install snow plow markers along driveway edges and other areas reasonably necessary to identify the service area.
This requirement applies to all residential properties.
5. Residential Salting
Residential salting is provided only upon request.
Single-family residential properties have a minimum salting charge of $25 per application.
The actual charge may vary depending on the size of the property, amount of material required, weather conditions, and scope of work.
Customers requesting salting acknowledge that salt and de-icing products may cause or contribute to damage or deterioration involving concrete, asphalt, landscaping, vegetation, vehicles, pets, footwear, or other property.
To the extent permitted by law, Austin’s Snow Removal is not responsible for damage resulting from the normal and proper application of salting or de-icing products requested by the customer.
6. Residential Refund Policy
The first per-service payment is non-refundable and will be credited toward the first snow removal service.
The first monthly payment is non-refundable and will be credited toward the first month of service.
For residential customers who pay the season in full, up to 50% of the amount paid may be eligible for refund following cancellation.
Any refund will be based on the number of snow removal services already completed, the amount of the season that has already passed, and any other services already provided.
7. Touch-Ups and Service Concerns
If a customer believes part of the contracted service was missed or not completed satisfactorily, the customer must contact Austin’s Snow Removal directly within 12 hours of the route start notification.
Qualifying touch-ups, such as an incomplete driveway or contracted sidewalk area, will be addressed within the original 24-hour service period when reasonably possible.
Requests received more than 12 hours after the route start notification may be considered a new service request and may result in an additional charge.

5. Vehicles Left in Service Areas
Austin’s Snow Removal will make reasonable efforts to plow around vehicles located in driveways or parking lots.
Austin’s is not responsible for snow remaining underneath or immediately around parked vehicles.
Moving a vehicle after snow removal has been completed does not automatically require Austin’s to return and clear the area where the vehicle was parked.
Additional service may be requested and may result in an additional charge.
6. Snow Placement
Austin’s Snow Removal will determine reasonable locations for snow placement unless specific snow storage areas have been agreed upon in advance.
Snow may be placed along:
-
Driveway edges
-
Parking lot edges
-
Islands
-
Landscaping areas
-
Designated snow storage areas

Other reasonable areas of the property

7. Municipal Snowplows and Third-Party Snow
City, county, state, or other snowplows may push snow back into driveways, entrances, or parking areas after Austin’s Snow Removal has completed service.
Snow deposited after service has been completed is considered a new condition.
Return service may be available and may result in an additional charge depending on the customer’s service plan.
8. Snow and Ice Conditions
Snow and ice management reduces winter hazards but cannot eliminate them.
Customers acknowledge that:
-
Ice may exist underneath snow.
-
Black ice may form without visible warning.
-
Melted snow may refreeze.
-
Snow may drift or blow back onto cleared surfaces.
-
Water may drain across cleared surfaces and freeze.
-
Foot or vehicle traffic may compact snow and ice.
-
De-icing materials may become less effective at extremely low temperatures.
Austin’s Snow Removal does not guarantee that any property will remain completely free from snow, ice, refreezing, drifting, or slippery conditions.
Property owners, tenants, visitors, and others should continue to use appropriate caution during winter weather.
9. Salting and De-Icing
Salting, de-icing, or pre-treatment is provided only when included in the customer’s service agreement or separately requested.
Austin’s Snow Removal may select the type and amount of de-icing material based on weather, surface conditions, temperature, availability, and the scope of work.
Austin’s does not guarantee that salt or de-icing products will completely prevent or remove ice.
10. Hidden Objects and Property Conditions
Customers should notify Austin’s Snow Removal of unusual or difficult-to-see property features before the winter season.
These may include:

11. Surface Conditions and Normal Wear
Snow removal equipment operates directly against or close to pavement and other surfaces.
Normal snow removal operations may result in minor scraping, scratching, surface marks, or movement of loose material.
Austin’s Snow Removal is not responsible for damage resulting from pre-existing conditions, including:
-
Cracked pavement
-
Loose asphalt
-
Deteriorated concrete
-
Uneven pavement

-

-
Previously damaged landscaping
Customers should notify Austin’s Snow Removal of areas requiring special attention before service begins.
12. Gravel and Unpaved Surfaces
Snow removal on gravel, dirt, or other unpaved surfaces may cause gravel or other materials to move.
Austin’s Snow Removal may leave a small snow base during early-season storms to reduce gravel displacement.
Austin’s Snow Removal is not responsible for normal gravel displacement caused by snow removal operations.
13. Lawn and Landscaping
Austin’s Snow Removal will make reasonable efforts to avoid damage to lawns and landscaping.
Some lawn or landscaping disturbance may occur when property boundaries are hidden by snow or when ground conditions are soft.

Customers should provide:
